Oxymetholone, also known as Anadrol or Oxy's, is a DHT-derived oral anabolic steroid. In bodybuilding, it's considered one of the most powerful steroids on earth; used predominantly by bodybuilders in the off-season when bulking for significant size and strength increases.
Anadrol made its first appearance on the scene in 1959 when studied for research purposes by a pharmaceutical company named Syntex. They found out that this compound could be an effective treatment against many different types of ailments, including osteoporosis and muscle wasting conditions such as HIV/AIDS 2 years later-Oxymetholone became available under the brand name "Anapolon."
By the early 1960s, Anadrol was widely available for bodybuilders to use it for cosmetic purpose. However, over time it became increasingly well known that this drug might also have harmful side effects in middle-aged people due to its harshness and potency with little therapeutic value. As a result, the FDA limited prescriptions on oxymetholone down around 1970, which made them extremely difficult or impossible for most users nowadays trying to find out where to purchase this drug legally.
Anadrol is one of only two steroids still available on a list of approved drugs by the FDA, alongside Anavar and testosterone.
